Mr. Cat Brasserie is a French restaurant in Hudson, New York, rooted in classic brasserie cooking. We blend Parisian soul with Hudson Valley warmth, pairing timeless French dishes with fresh ingredients from local farms. Our wine list brings together French and American natural wines alongside reimagined classics made for lively upstate gatherings.
We’re open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 5pm to 10pm.

At the heart of Mr. Cat Brasserie is a team of dedicated professionals who call the Hudson Valley home. Leading our kitchen is Culinary Director Hagan Whelchel, who brings a refined technical edge to our seasonal menus. Hagan honed his skills under the legendary Alain Ducasse before joining the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, where he served as Chef de Cuisine at Ad Hoc + Addendum.At Mr. Cat, his cooking reflects this world-class pedigree by balancing rigorous classic technique with an ingredient-driven approach.

Rservations are recommended. Especially for dinner, weekends, and terrace seating. Walk-ins are welcome too, bien sur.

For now our hours are Tuesday–Saturday 5–10pm. In June they will expand to include Saturday 10am–10pm and Sunday 10am–4pm.
